EVEN
AMERICAN IDOL'S "KELLYOKE" IS
ONLY FOR THE FEW
WHILE
MOZENA LAUNCHES "KARAOKE
CHRISTMAS ON THE RADIO" FOR
EVERYONE!
Carson, CA
-- As the first winner of American Idol singer Kelly
Clarkson comes to Irvine, CA August 1st, and "American
Idol" launches its nationwide
auditions for its sixth season, beginning in Los Angeles on August
8th, Steve Mozena announces the launch of "Karaoke
Christmas on the Radio," which
he believes will outstrip "Kellyoke" and "American
Idol” and
become an annual nationwide festival that will capture the hearts of
Americans of all ages.
They say that
imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and
just as Mozena launches, from Carson, CA, "Karaoke
Christmas on the Radio," on August
1 Kelly Clarkson comes to Irvine, CA, just down Interstate 405, with
her "Kellyoke" act,
in which a few pre-selected people are given a chance to sing a song
and meet Kelly.
Who is copying
whom here? Months ago Mozena wrote to the radio industry
elite, including Ryan Seacrest, host of "American
Idol," and Morning DJ at
KIIS Radio, detailing his idea for “Karaoke
Christmas on the Radio." Recently
Mozena placed a huge ad for "Karaoke
Christmas on the Radio" in
Radio and Records, the radio industry's trade journal. Either there's
some copying going on, or great minds think alike.
Mozena was
inspired to create "Karaoke
Christmas on the Radio" by the
success of his Christmas CD, "Daddy's Christmas Songs" last
year.
"Karaoke
Christmas is for everyone," says Mozena. "It
gives ordinary folk a chance to hear themselves and their friends
and relatives singing Christmas songs on the radio. It will
spread the Christmas spirit and bring a lot of joy
to thousands and perhaps millions of people."
Steve continues, "Unlike
in 'American Idol,' in which most people's dreams
are shattered and some contestants are deliberately
humiliated, in 'Karaoke
Christmas on the Radio,' everyone is an Idol. It's fun for all, not just a
few."
Steve has
started the ball rolling with a "Karaoke
Christmas on the Radio" CD
sampler which contains his version of "Do You Hear What
I Hear?" as
well as his four-year-old daughter Arista singing "Twinkle,
Twinkle, Little Star." An insert in the CD explains
how to secure permission to use copyrighted works.
Mozena is
currently selling his "Karaoke
Christmas on the Radio" instructional
CD to big box retailers, department stores, grocery stores,
record stores and so forth. In addition, he continues
to promote the idea to the major radio groups in
the nation. He recently placed a large advertisement
in Radio and Records (R & R), the trade journal
for the radio industry. Now, all the management,
staff and DJs at all radio stations across America
know about "Karaoke
Christmas on the Radio."
"This
is how it works," says Mozena. "Promotions
department of the radio stations will encourage listeners
of all ages call-in, come in, or to send in CDs,
mp3 files, USB drives, and cassette tapes of themselves
singing original or classic Christmas songs for cash
and/or prizes. These Christmas songs will then be
played at Christmas, 2006."
"Who
knows," says Steve, "maybe 'Karaoke
Christmas on the Radio' will discover the next American
Idol!"
